Koudou TSUGAMI ​ 津上 弘道

Japanese Shakuhachi player Hiroshi Tsugami started playing shakuhachi soon after he entered Tokyo University in 2010.

After graduating from Tokyo University, earning the Bachelor of Agriculture, he went to Tokyo University of the Arts majoring Shakuhachi.

He earned the bachelor again, but this time of Music, and was awarded for Ataka Award(2017) , Acanthus Music Award(2018) and Douseikai Award(2018) by Tokyo University of the Arts.

He continued his study in master course at Tokyo University of the Arts and finished the course in 2020.

Now he is performing as a professional Shakuhachi player, giving caonerts, workshops and lessons, based in Tokyo.

Started to play Shakuhachi in Tokyo University Shakuhachi Club

 

2014 

Graduated from Tokyo University (earning the Bachelor of Agriculture )

Entered Tokyo University of the Arts (major: Shakuhachi)

 

2017 

Awarded for “Ataka Award” by Tokyo University of the Arts

 

2018 

Awarded for “Acanthus Music Award” and “Douseikai Award” by Tokyo University of the Arts 

Earned the Bachelor of Music

 

2020

Graduated the master's program (Study of Shakuhachi Music) at the Graduate School of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts.
